Welcome to MyRentalRides. By accessing or using our website, booking platform, or rental services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms govern all aspects of your interaction with MyRentalRides and outline your responsibilities and our obligations as a motorcycle rental provider. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
Eligibility & Rider Requirements
To be eligible for a rental with MyRentalRides, all riders must be at least 18 years old and in possession of a valid motorcycle license. Malaysian citizens must provide their national identification card (IC), while international renters must present a valid passport. If your motorcycle license is not in English or Malay, we recommend that you also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to ensure compliance with local regulations and avoid potential legal issues during your rental period.
Booking & Payments
Bookings can be made through our WhatsApp channel or by submitting an enquiry via our website. All reservations are subject to availability and are confirmed only once we provide written acknowledgment. A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals, with the amount determined by the motorcycle model — generally ranging between RM200 and RM500. Payment for rentals can be made by cash, bank transfer, or credit/debit card at select pickup locations. We also accept PayPal upon request. Full payment and deposit must be settled prior to or upon collection of the vehicle.
Rental Duration & Return
Rental periods are calculated on a 24-hour basis from the time of pickup. Any late returns beyond the agreed period may incur additional charges. We ask that all motorcycles be returned in the same condition as received, including the fuel level. Fuel is not included in the rental fee, but motorcycles are provided with an initial fuel supply and should be returned with a similar amount to avoid refueling charges.
Insurance & Liability
All rentals from MyRentalRides include basic third-party liability insurance as required by Malaysian law. Comprehensive insurance coverage, which includes protection against theft and accidental damage, is available as an add-on and can be requested during the booking process. Renters are financially responsible for any damages arising from negligence, reckless use, or violation of traffic laws. This includes the loss or damage of provided helmets and accessories, as well as any traffic or parking fines incurred during the rental period.
Cancellations & Refunds
We offer free cancellation for bookings canceled at least 48 hours before the scheduled rental start time. Cancellations made after this window may result in a partial or full forfeiture of the security deposit. In the event of a no-show without prior notice, MyRentalRides reserves the right to withhold the full deposit amount.
Use of Vehicle
The use of rented motorcycles is limited to Peninsular Malaysia. Travel to Singapore, Thailand, or other regions is strictly prohibited unless prior written consent is obtained from MyRentalRides. Motorcycles must not be subleased, used in competitive sports, or operated under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances. The renter agrees to use the motorcycle responsibly and in accordance with all local laws and safety regulations.
Breakdowns & Emergency Support
In the event of a mechanical breakdown or technical issue during your rental, you are required to contact our support line immediately. We provide emergency roadside assistance and, where necessary, will arrange a replacement motorcycle. While we are committed to resolving issues promptly, MyRentalRides is not liable for any delays, missed appointments, or indirect losses resulting from such incidents.
Privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. All personal data collected during the booking and rental process will be used solely for operational purposes and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This includes the collection of identification details, contact information, and rental history. We do not share or sell your data to third parties without your consent unless required by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyRentalRides shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our vehicles or services. This includes, but is not limited to, accidents, injuries, lost property, or any financial losses incurred as a result of using our rental vehicles. Riders assume full responsibility for their own safety and the safe use of the vehicle.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. By using our services, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia in the event of any dispute or claim relating to these terms or the services provided.
